Today BridgeWinners has posted the following statement:
BridgeWinners has learned that the chair of the ACBL committee that will hear the case against Fulvio Fantoni and Claudio Nunes has granted the pair’s request to have their hearing be postponed until the Summer NABC in Washington, D.C. This is the second such postponement of a high-profile case scheduled to be heard in Reno: Lotan Fisher and Ron Schwartz have also delayed their hearing to the summer. Both hearings were originally scheduled for the fall NABC in Denver and were delayed until the Spring NABC in Reno at the defendants’ request. Fisher-Schwartz cited scheduling conflicts with the Israeli Bridge Federation’s hearing when they requested their hearing be moved to the summer. No specific reason has been disclosed for the Fantoni-Nunes delay. Both pairs remain suspended from the ACBL pending the outcome of their hearings.
