The Italian Federal Court of Appeals confirmed the Sentence of the FIGB (Italian Bridge Federation) Tribunal, issued on March 19, 2016 and published on April 11, 2016.
The FIGB Tribunal sentenced Fulvio Fantoni and Claudio Nunes to the maximum penalty contemplated in the regulations, which is a three year ban for each player. Therefore, Fantoni and Nunes are banned as players from April 9, 2016 to April 9, 2019.
The Court rejected the requests from Fantoni and Nunes and from the Federal Prosecutor as well.
The first hearing of the Court was held on On Friday 27th of May 2016, in Milan (Italy), the decision was taken on the 10th of June 2016 in Rome and published on the 18th of June 2016.
