The Appeal Court confirmed the Ruling of the WBF Disciplinary Committee as held in Dallas (Texas) last March regarding the Elinescu-Wladow Affaire.
In Dallas the German pair Michael Elinescu and Entsho Wladow was found guilty of cheating at the World Bridge Championship in Bali 2013.
Elinescu and Wladow were members of the German Senior team that won the gold medal in the finals against USA2.
The German Federation as well as the players apparently unsuccesfully appealed against the Dallas decision.
It is expected that the WBF soon will take consequent measures as to stripping medals.
The Hearing of the WBF Appeal Court was held today, Wednesday 16th July, 2014 at the Maison du Sport International in Lausanne (Switzerland).
