DBVThe German Bridge Federation (DBV – Deutscher Bridge Verband) has announced the outcome of the hearing held in Cologne on May 7, 2015:

On May 7th 2015 at the Landgericht Köln, Germany the points of view of all parties in the lawsuit from the doctors against the WBF and DBV were discussed in detail. The Court expects before June 18th the final explanations by all three parties: the doctors as plaintiffs and the WBF en DBV as defendants. The case will then be adjourned till August 6th. On that date there will be no hearing and the parties don’t have to be present in court. On August 6th there will be either a final decision or an interlocutory decision in case the Court needs further information from one or more parties. In any case in January 2016 there will be a final decision.

The current proceedings refers to the appeal submitted by dr. Elinescu and dr. Wladow against the disqualification decided by the DBV and the WBF as a result of the known facts of Bali in 2013.
