The Camrose Trophy (Home International Series) is the yearly championship between the five countries of the British Isles: England, Wales, Ireland, North Ireland, Scotland. It takes place in two complete round robins, each by 32 board matches, to be played in two week-ends.
The first part, on January 9-11, is being played at Holiday Inn of Edinburgh,132 Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UA, Scotland. Direct Tel. 0871 942 9026.
The second week end will be in Northern Ireland on 6-8 March. To avoid the bye, the country which will host the second week-end has the right to enter two teams, then this year there are two Northern Irish teams: N. Ireland and N.I. Bridge Union (NIBU).
In the very first round, played yesterday, Northern Ireland defeated NIBU, Wales defeated England (England is title holder; thats title holder; that ), and The Republic of Ireland defeated Scotland.
