BridgeWinners: ACBL to End Cell Phone Ban in 2013

leggi in italiano »

As reported by BridgeWinners.com effective January 1, 2013 bridge players will once again be allowed to have electronic devices in the playing area of NABC events. All electronic devices must remain off and not visible during the session of play. The first violation of this policy will result in a one board penalty. The second violation will result in a disqualification from the event. Kibitzers violating this policy will be removed from the playing area.

This is a change from the ACBL’s current policy where electronic devices are not allowed in the room at all by players or kibitzers.
