Bridge Big, the new online bridge-for-money site, is hosting an online New Year’s tournament with a €2,013 ($2,600) guaranteed prize pool. They also just launched a Sit & Go format for everyday tournaments. The new year’s event is their first in a new series of special events; a 16 board duplicate tournament with €2,013 minimum guaranteed prize pool, distributed to the top placing players.
The buy-in is €28 and the tournament starts on January 1, 2013 at 8pm CET (UTC+1). Along with their special events, Bridge Big just announced and launched 24/7 Sit & Go tournaments, where registration is capped at 8 players and the tournament starts as soon as the tables are full. In these 7 board tournaments, each deal is played only once, so you aren’t compared against others in the tournament but rather against results of hundreds of others who previously played that hand using Matchpoint scoring.
