It has been an exciting week for Dutch start-up Bridge Big. Last Friday their new bridge site was launched, the first of its kind to offer duplicate bridge for serious money. The team behind Bridge Big has the firm belief they can make online bridge as big as poker. To celebrate their launch, Bridge Big is doing something extra special. They’re holding a Grand Opening Tournament this Saturday, August 25th at 9 p.m. (Amsterdam time).
Players can participate in the tournament for a small buy-in (11,50 euro) and Bridge Big will guarantee a minimum prize pool of 2,000 euro, just shy of 2,500 US dollar, something unheard of in online bridge.
