Gabino Cintra, one of the best Brazilian players of all time, is dead in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday November 28, 2010. He was 68. Cintra, a former IBM executive, was Grand Master of the World Bridge Federation accumulating many important victories in international events: World Team Olympiad (1976) and World Open Pairs (1978) with Marcelo Branco.
Former President of the WBF Ernesto d’Orsi said: “Was a particularly smart player and an excellent companion.”
