Beth Palmer and her teammates won the 2016’s Women United States Bridge Chamiponship. The champions: Beth Palmer, Cpt; Silvia Shi, Lynn Deas, Juanita Chambers, Tobi Sokolov, Janice Seamon-Molson. By this victory, the Team will play as Women US Team in the upcoming World Bridge Games (formerly Olympiad), to be held at Wroclaw, in Poland, from 3rd to 17th September.
The final against Lynn Baker’s Team ran smoothly until the fifth segment; after the 75th deal Palmer led +78, but Baker didn’t yet give up and rescued forty IMPs: too little to win, enough for being a great team though.
