The young top-player Italian-Argentine Agustin Madala, 2010 European Champion in Ostend with the Italian Open Team directed by Maria Teresa Lavazza, will play in the juniors team (under 26) that represents Italy at the 23th European Youth Championships in Bulgaria (Albena 13 – 23 July 2011).
The 2011 European Youth Team Championships will be held in the Albena Resort, near Varna, on Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast.
Held biennially, this is the flagship competition of the European Bridge League for people up to 26 years of age. Each EBL member country is invited to send one representative team to each of the three series, for Juniors (under 26), Youngsters (under 21) and Girls.
It was inaugurated in 1968 in Prague. The reigning champions are France in the Junior series and Poland in both Youngsters and Girls series.
These are the three Italian teams:
Juniors (under 26): Francesco De Leo, Giuseppe Delle Cave, Massimiliano Di Franco, Riccardo Locatelli, Agustin Madala, Riccardo Rubino.
Youngsters under 21: Alesssandro Calmanovici, Giovanni Donati, Alessandro Pruna, Alberto Racca, Roberto Sau, Gabriele Zanasi.
Girls: Giorgia Botta, Caterina Burgio, Margherita Chavarria, Margherita Costa, Flavia Lanzuisi, Stefania Morina.
Agustin Madala, 24 yo, will play with Giuseppe Delle Cave in under 26 team.
