4th South American Transnational Bridge Festival

The Uruguayan Association of Bridge and South American Bridge Confederation organize the 4th   South American Transnational Bridge Festival at Radisson Hotel in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay, from May 26 to June 3, 2012.   The Festival  comprises pairs  and open team, women team, mixed team tournaments. All tournaments are transnational.  Italian stars Norberto Bocchi and Agustin Madala take part in the event. Bocchi will partner with Gabriel Chagas from Brazil: They will play both pairs and open team events; Madala will partner with Diego Brenner. Madala and Brenner are a good pair: They already won the 53ht Brazilian Championship (September 2011).

In conjunction with the Festival, the Youth  South American Championship will be held:  category Juniosr (under 26) and youngesters (under 21). The winners of both categories qualify for the next World Youth Championship.

The matches will be broadcast on BBO.

SILVIO SBARIGIA is a pharmacist; he was born in Rome and lives there. He has won the European championship in 1975 with legendary Blue Team, runner up at 1974’s and at Olympic games of 1976.  Sbarigia is member of Neapolitan Club Technical Commettee.
