24th International Team Tournament – Montecarlo 2012

The 24th International Team Tournament in Montacarlo is held at the Sporting d’Hiver (Place du Casino) from October 12 to 14, 2012. The event is a Patton team tournament. This year there are 62 teams divided into two groups (Afternoon and Evening).  After the qualification rounds of yesterday and today, tomorrow the finals will be played. So far two Italian teams are leading: Lavazza in the Afternoon group and Gaglietto in the Evening group.

Antonio Riccardi and Christian Bordonneau are the Tournament Directors. The matches are broadcast by BBO and Xavier Schurer is the vuegraph director.

After the International Tournament, Monday the 15th of October, Monaco will host the prestigious Cavendish invitational Teams and Pairs tournament.

Silvio Sbarigia


SILVIO SBARIGIA is a pharmacist; he was born in Rome and lives there. He has won the European championship in 1975 with legendary Blue Team, runner up at 1974’s and at Olympic games of 1976.  Sbarigia is member of Neapolitan Club Technical Commettee.
