2014 Spingold – Italians in Las Vegas: Day 3

DAY 3 Sp2014 Spingold Knockout Teams. In the Round of 32 Lavazza defeated Mazurkiewicz by 159-119; Assael defeated Street by 196-109; Monaco defeated Koneru by 158-105. Cayne (James Cayne, Michael Seamon, Alfredo Versace, Lorenzo Lauria, Thomas Bessis, Cedric Lorenzini) was stopped by McAllister who won the match by 173-117.

Lavazza, Assael and Monaco move to Round of 16 scheduled today, Thursday, July 24.

Today’s matches:

Lavazza (Giorgio Duboin, Zia Mahmood, Alejandro Bianchedi, Agustin Madala, Norberto Bocchi) vs Zagorin (Daniel Zagorin, Kevin Bathurst, Sjoert Brink,  Bas Drijver)

Assael (Antonio Sementa,  Alexander Smirnov, Josef Piekarek, Mustafa Cem Tokay) vs McAllister (John McAllister, Sartaj Hans, Peter Gill, Sam Lev)

Monaco (Pierre Zimmermann, Franck Multon, Geir Helgemo, Tor Helness, Fulvio Fantoni, Claudio Nunes) vs GU (Jiang Gu,  Xiaodong Shi,  Jing Liu, Zizhuo Wang)

The winning teams move to Quarterfinals scheduled tomorrow, Friday, July 25.

The 2014 Summer NABC (North American Bridge Championships) are underway in Las Vegas (Nevada, Usa) from July 17 to 27, 2014. The host hotel and playing site is the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
