donazione Night of the starsThe internationally acclaimed Night of the Stars Pro-Am charity event will be taking place at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability in Putney, London on Thursday 27th February, 2014.

Andrew Robson has often referred to the Night of the Stars in his column in The Times as, “the flagship event in the world of charity bridge” and The New York Times described the event as “the Who’s Who of British bridge…” In addition to these newspapers, it regularly features in such publications as The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The Spectator, English Bridge and rumour has it, even on the evening news on French television.

Last November, Paul Mendelson conducted the main auction of the fifty two Stars playing and Dutch world champion, Sjoert Brink has just confirmed he will be joining the event. Within days, the bidding to partner him reached a fantastic level.

The organisers also report that the venue can accommodate more tables than originally anticipated and so there are still tickets available for people who would like to play with their regular partner. If you are interested in playing, please email the organisers at terry@nightofthestars.org.uk .

Thanks to the support and generosity of so many, this event continues to smash record after record. The Night of the Stars 2014 is supported by more Stars and bidders than ever before. This event offers bridge players of all standards the opportunity to raise money for charity by playing the game they love. So far, the Night of the Stars 2014 has raised over £30,000 for charity and careful management will ensure that the charities receive every penny donated as the organisers expect that all expenses will covered by separate, specific donations and sponsorships.

The 2014 Night of the Stars is in aid of the following fantastic charities:

Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability

Teenage Cancer Trust

West London Action for Children

Macmillan Cancer Support
