Switzerland – José Damiani has been elected as President Emeritus of the Wold Bridge Federation (WBF). The appointment is made in recognition of the outstanding services to bridge made by Mr Damiani. Josè Damiani was born in Paris (France) June 7, 1939 and lives in Paris and Corsica. He was President of the European Bridge League (1887-1995), President of the World Bridge Federation (1994-2010) and now is President of Internationa Mind Sport Association (IMSA) since 2005.

 Italy – Giuseppe and Andrea Failla (father and son) won the Italian Pairs Championships, silver to Giuseppe Cervini and Paolo Vailat, bronze to Giuseppe Colotto and Claudio Pochini. In Women category gold went to Margherita Kaifmann Chavarria and Francesca Piscitelli, silver to  Rosanna Francisci and Loretta Giarnella,  bronze to Donatella Bersaniand Alessandra Ferretti. The event was held in Salsomaggiore Terme (Italy) March 21-14, 2013

The Netherlands – Argentina won the 8th White House Junior Internationals, held in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) March 17-22, 2013. Argentina defeated in the final the Hungary team by 111 – 68. These are the young champions awarded with the Carrousel Cup: Maximo Crusizio -Rodrigo Garcia da Rosa (Argentina) e Kristoffer Hege-Kristian Stangeland (Norwey). And these are the runners-up from Hungary: Csaba Konkoly – Barna Szirmay-Kalos, Zsolt Wagner – Brigitta Fischer.

France – Debora Campagnano (Italy) and Nathalie Frey (France) repeat victory at French women’s pairs Championship. Second place to Anne-Lise and Anne-Laure Tartarin; third place to Catherine Dumesnil and Claude-Lise Marembert. 

Croatia – The Eurpean Bridge League (EBL) has announced that the 12th European Champions’ Cup will be held from 14th to 17th November 2013 in Opatija (Croatia). The defending champion is Lavazza team from Italy.

France – Christine Lustin’s squad (with Monique Dubus, Sylvie Willard, Carole Morel, Catherine d’Ovidio, Bénédicte Cronier) won the French Women Championship (Division National I Dames). Second place to Martine Rossard’s team (with Colette Lise, Valérie Labaere, Joanna Nève, Claude Bouquit); third place to Vennsa Rées with her teammates: Martine Réess, Marion Canonne, Donatella Halfon, Nicole Dutilloy.

USA – Gavin Wolpert and Kevin Dwyer won the 2013 North American Open Pairs. This is the first title awarded at the Spring 2013 NABC in St. Louis (March 14 -24, 2013).
