The 50th International Pula Bridge Festival started 3rd of September. For this 50th anniversary organizers prepared some special surprises. Including: Individual tournament, gifts and Gala dinner at the closing. Players from so many countries were here again: Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, England, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and USA.

Number of participants and their quality certainly makes this Festival one of the top 5 European bridge events of that kind.

Open teams competition was broadcasted on BBO.

Here are some numbers: Opening IMP tourney had 190 pairs, 94 open teams (2 days competition), 252 pairs in the main MP tourney. You can check all the results at official website  posted by software made by late Jan Romański.

I’ve met a lot of familiar faces from Intercity League and quite a few new ones. Also, winners of the Open team (Novi Sad) promised to take a part in the coming edition of our League.
