10th European Champions’ Cup – Bad Honnef, Germany 17th – 20th November 2011. Round Robin has been completed. Group B: Italy (Allegra Lavazza – Torino) is the winner and runner up is Bulgaria (Vito). Group A: The Netherlands (Onstein 1) are the winners and secon place goes to Germany (Karlsruher). As a consequence the pairing of today’s semi-finals is: Onstein 1 vs Vito and Allegra Lavazza vs Karlsruhe.
Norberto Bocchi – Agustin Madala, playing 100/100 boards, are at the top of Round Robin butler ranking.
The pairing of semifinals B is: Poland (Auguri Warsaw) vs The Netherlands (Onstein 2) and Israel (Israeli National Champion) vs Russia (Lazy).
The pairing of semifinals C is: Iceland (Bridgeclub Grant Thorton) vs Germany (BTSC Hannover) and Sweden (Skara BS) vs Turkey (Cayyolu Bridge Club).
The winners of Semi-final A will play a KO match of 48 boards (4 sessions of 12) for the title; the losers will play a KO Match of 36 boards (3 sessions of 12) for the third place; the winners of the Semi-finals B and C will play a KO match of 36 boards (3 sessions of 12), respectively, for fifth and ninth places; the losers of these Semi-finals will not play.
